• After 1.5 weeks camping and driving around, we were treated by a lovely night of rest at the Andersson's camp in Ongava Game reserve.

  • After 2 days at the White Lady Lodge, we drove West along the Ugab to reach the Ugab Rhino Camp.

Just as we left camp early morning, we heard lions roaring a few kilometres away and followed their tracks on on the river bed.

The drive was stunning and interesting with fun muddy and sandy parts. Just make sure you have a proper 4WD vehicle if you intend to go there!

  • From the Waterberg, we drove to another iconic mountains: the Brandberg!

There we stayed at the White Lady Lodge just along the Ugab river. The place is absolutely amazing and we had the visit of desert elephants right at our camp site!

from there we took a few short walks across the river bed to the surrounding areas and below is how it looks like...

  • For those of you who have been following, I have been working at CCF since May 2017. Unfortunately, this job was not working out for me as I want to be involved in research and science, which is not happening at CCF...

So, I resigned from my position and will be leaving Namibia mid December heading to Botswana for a little while. I'll be resting a bit, working a lot and looking for another job in the region!

Stay tuned for some upcoming posts from the Delta and for updates!

Good bye Namibia (for a while only I hope)

  • No need to present this park again. Just beware of baboons if you pay it a visit!!

And be sure to take the hike up early morning to watts the sunrise over the horizon!
