We saw 11 dogs at Ngweshla trying to catch kudus, was interesting!! Here are a few of them.
When you spend the night at an elephant carcass, you must expect everything, including a lionnes really attached to your car! She also came near us to take a nap.

Here are a few pictures taken by Lucy Hunt during the hyaena capture at Guvalala in September 2010.
Setting up the GPS collar
Measuring the teeth
Nyarai and me (This is Peter Makumbe on the right)
The capture went very smoothly and since then we saw Nyarai's pups and got regular downloads of her collar via the automatic download box at Guvalala. Thanks Roger for the darting!!

Matopos is 30min drive South from Bulawayo, 2nd biggest city in the country. It is much smaller than Hwange, but landscape is completelly different: hills, rivers, lakes, canyons and boulders. Animals are not so common eventhough the park shelter the highest density of leopards and rhinos of the country. Game is concentrated in a fenced area of the park where it is relatively easy to see white rhinos.
