If there is a place you have to visit when travelling in Northern Nambia it's this one!! Palmwag conservancy is well known for its desert elephants but we discovered many other species and landscapes worth seeing.  There is one tiny part of the concession in the South side that is used for day visitors stating at Palmwag Lodge (run by Wilderness Safaris) but the rest is huge and very wild. Campsites are only designated by a signpost and fire marks from previous visitors.

We spent 2 nights there but it is worth spending at least one more in the Hoanib river.

Nope, it's not a water fall, just marks left by the previous rainy season.
